For this piece I studied the lightning and the clouds and how the strikes go through the dark, stormy, sky. I also noticed how the lightning is the only light source for the city, other than the street lights.

In this artists work I noticed how the lightning really looks electric from blending it in with the dark sky. I also really loved the clouds and how darker they were compared to the night sky. Finally, I thought the small details on the buildings made the city look real.

Reflection: Some things that went well was the curvature of the buildings. Also, the gradient of the sky looks blended well. Finally, the color choices work well together. One thing I could have done differently was blending out the clouds a bit better. Also, the lightning bolts are a little wide and could be a bit smaller. Finally, the lights in the buildings look a but messy and could be more filled in.
