On Nicent Van Gogh's work I used they way he colored his boats and the way he shaped them in my painting.
On Grant Pecoff I studied the way he painted his ocean and applied that to my work. I also used his shrubbery as an example in my painting.

Reflection: One thing that went well in my painting is the water. I think that the shadows in the water from the boat and land are perfect, also the small waves and movement of the water looks beautiful. Another thing that turned out nice, was the mansion in the shrubbery, it looks tucked away in the greenery and has nice shadows. Also, I made sure to put the horizon line at the right spot. Plus, I used a dry paint brush to take off some color on wet paint in the sky. One thing I would do differently is the color of the small town, the color are too vibrant and are distracting from the main focusing of the painting, the boat. Finally, I should have made the buoy smaller, the proportions are too big compared to the boat.
