I studied how he shaded the face and how he drew the cloth over her head.

I studied how they drew the wrinkles and the contrast that was used.
Reflection: I would have started shading with a lighter pencil first and then gradually move up to darker pencils. I also would have drawn her face looking more upwards so her face would be facing some thing higher than her. Finally, I would have drawn her nose proportions a little smaller.
